Last time a read the EULA I could have most software on 2 personal use machines, like a desktop and a laptop, which were not used at the same time, except when synchronizing files from one to the other. I'm not sure about one OS, but there is an upgrade price for W95, W98, Wme, W2000 (from NT), and I think I'm entitled to those even when the "upgrade" takes place on a new machine, if I demonstrate that I have the old machine. For Office2000 you only have to demonstrate that you have one of many upgrade paths, and even just Word97 qualifies, I believe.
Also, Dell versions of Office include OEM in the serial number, and I wonder if they could be installed on a non-Dell, other PC. In the box Office2000 could be installed in any manufacturer's PC. |
