Read this thread and most of your questions on why we believe GIFT's patent will prevail has been much discussed. This is a 1986 patent. It covers the downloading of any kind of digital data (music CD's; computer programs; on-line newspapers and magazines, etc, etc.) for payment.

On the patent questions, if there were "prior art" the patent could be KO'd. No one, not IBM, Vocaltech, Adobe or any of the defendants being sued) has been able to find any.

The other point is that the "patent is too broad". It was not until the internet was invented!

After all that, you either believe it is: Good, No Good, or not sure.

The "not sure" contingent have concluded that the "risk/reward" makes GIFT a compelling buy. Mel
