You're kidding right? You are either an idiot or just very naive about technology. If Motorola is saying that they will be sampling 4MB MRAM in 2003 and it's only the start of 2001, how far do you think they really are today. As a general rule of thumb, increase the length of the provided schedule by at least a factor of 2. There are ALWAYS roadblocks and speedbumbs that come up to delay new products. Motorola management never seems to learn this. Also if SSTI makes most of their money from <4MB flash today, where do you think the sweet spot will be in 3-5 years? Here's a clue: it won't be 4MB. How cheap will 4MB flash be in 3-5 years? Here's a clue: too cheap for any new technology to compete with.
