"but I never could figure out how to limit the obscure links"

funny, i always seem to find what i needed within the first 6-12 links, thus never really focused on nor had trouble with obscure links. but your question did send me into a closer look at webferret's filtering option...

********************************

"Filter Out the Bad Stuff
WebFerret

You can use WebFerret's filters to remove sites from your search results that contain harsh language or pornography. Select View • Options and then click the Filters tab. Check the box in front of Pornography or Foul Language or both. Click the OK button to apply the change. You can lock these settings with a password by clicking the Lock button. Enter your password twice to confirm it. To unlock the settings, click the Unlock button and then enter your password."

***********************************

(i think google calls their brand of this "SafeSearch Filtering")

but i'm thinking you are not referring to porno sites and foul language. could you tell me how you "limit the obscure links" with google? is it all done with the toolbar?

thanks

:)
