I bet the submarine/boat wreck a couple days ago was due to hot-dogging by the crew. Normal procedure is to use sonar and visual periscope before the surfacing- there is NO way they couldn't have seen that boat. I bet the sub guys thought it would be really funny to scare the shit out of those japanese fellers, yee haw! "Let's see how close we can get!"
