You just can't make some people happy. They'll find something to gripe about, even if it's free. I want Norton SystemWorks, so getting Norton Antivirus is a waste, even getting it free (after the free period, you have to pay by subscription for LiveUpdate). If you get Systemworks with Norton Antivirus, you'd have to pay for the antivirus subscription after 1 year anyway, wouldn't you?. Are you suggesting you'd have to pay twice? <g> I don't think so. Dell offers popular options that millions of buyers have found very satisfactory -- enough so to have them come back again and again. Customer loyalty and satisfaction are industry-leading. My brother-in-law just got his newest Dimension last week, (with free Norton antivirus,) and is extremely pleased. His 4th Dell. Are you short the stock?
