¶ IFTP: Infotopia Readies BodyRocker for Full Rollout; Testing Exceeds Industry Average
BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 3, 2001--Infotopia, Inc. (OTC BB: IFTP) ("Infotopia"), announced today that the Company had finally completed testing of the "Design by Dean, BodyRocker". The BodyRocker infomercial debuted in limited release throughout various parts of the United States between Christmas and New Years. The BodyRocker is co-hosted by Morgan Fairchild and the inventor, Dean Tornabene. The BodyRocker is a fitness machine that provides both strength training and an aerobic workout. Ernest Zavoral, President of Infotopia stated, "Bringing the BodyRocker to rollout has been a long process, the infomercial was completely reedited in December. We are very confident that based on the results from the past week's testing, the campaign can now go to full rollout. We recently changed the selling price to $199.95(plus shipping and handling) and this lower price has seemed to increase demand. The test results varied with each airing, but we were pleased that some of the media tested at a 3:1 ratio (Three dollars in revenue for each one dollar of media purchased). The Industry considers 2:1 ratio a success and our Torso Tiger averaged 2,6:1 ratio. The expectation is to piggyback on the results of Dean's last product, the Body by Jake, Ab Rocker. We expect total sales to be consistent with the success of the Torso Tiger."
