Soundbreak Establishes First Network for Lifestyle and Entertainment Programming on the Internet LA-Based Music and Entertainment Network Builds Audience With Affiliate
Partnerships, Syndication and New Content Programming;
Expands Reach to 5.6 MILLION
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- On the heels of several months of aggressive negotiation of affiliate partnerships, content syndication, and new program development, Soundbreak (www.soundbreak.com), has repositioned itself as a premier web network with an audience reach of 5.6 million.
Soundbreak is the first live 24-hour streaming audio/video music and entertainment network on the Internet. Soundbreak's cutting-edge content includes live DJs playing groundbreaking new music, live in-studio performances, interviews and original programming. This mix brings the best in music and lifestyle entertainment to savvy Internet youth. It also affords traditional media companies a unique opportunity to effectively reach that same audience.
Originally only available on their destination site, Soundbreak has made this programming available from a wide variety of Internet affiliate sites within the Soundbreak network. In recent months, Music.com, Bored.com and Newgrounds.com have all finalized agreements to feature Soundbreak network programming. The company is also in talks with traditional media companies to develop strategic partnerships.
Beth Bradmon, Soundbreak's COO, said, "We're proud of what we have built and feel it's too good not to share. Our programming captures the spontaneity of live radio, the inspired music programming of MTV and the smart style of the early E! Network. We aim to make Soundbreak the Westwood One of the Internet, supplying great shows to our affiliates and strategic partners and working with them to co-develop and tailor programming specifically for them. We are only beginning to see the potential of our network on the Internet." Bradmon estimates the Soundbreak audience will grow to 10 million by the end of this month.
Soundbreak's network content programming, powered by a proprietary software system created in-house, is also being syndicated by British Telecom and StreamSearch. Currently, in addition to the live, 24/7 in-studio music programmers, Soundbreak's syndicated programming includes "Sweet Spot", five-minute interview clips with artists such as Fatboy Slim and Ice-T that have visited Soundbreak's Sunset Strip studio for performances or interviews, and "Music of My Life," where artists from Slash of Gun's and Roses to John Taylor of Duran Duran highlight the music that has shaped who they are as artists and individuals.
Also in-stream this month, Soundbreak has added "Soundbreaking News," a weekly music and pop culture show hosted by Mark Goodman, one of the original MTV VJs and currently the EVP of Soundbreak. |
