GVT, here's what you said in post 48700, Message 15328433 ... The 11¢ number includes investment gains. 11¢ should be 18¢, and 'includes' should be 'excludes'. Is this what you meant, or am I screwed up? Assuming that's what you meant, then I don't understand why the 18¢ number isn't used in calculating PE. Bambs insists on using 11¢, and is making a circuitous argument that neglects the facts. Do you agree that PE should use the 18¢ and not the 11¢ ? Yours will be the last word on the subject. Thanks.
