It seems to me that the attractive pricing could insulate NTAP from an economic slowdown at the expense of EMC. In other words, EMC's expensive alternatives may get the thumbs-down from IT execs in favor of NTAP's NAS products.

I know that this is an elementary point, but I do find it interesting and ironic that a recession may be better for NTAP since it forces companies to go for efficiency (see NTAP) over the gold-plated EMC products.

PS, I think that the talk of a recession is overblown. We're in industrial manufacturing, and the pace of business has become brisk since early/mid-January.
