It is almost certainly not applied even handedly to rich and poor. Just look at Klaus von Bulow or O.J.

where I made that clear. This is also rich/poor not just a race issue. I think I'm pretty sure that O.J. isn't considered white by me or anyone else, however I think most would consider him rich. I don't think any reasonable reading of what I wrote would convey that I thought OJ was white.
