Hmmm, ok then what we know is Sprint gives up it's seats on Elink's board.

Brewer's filings were there for a long time but it seems like there have been too many big blocks to all be his. (Selling? PO'ed) Also seems like someone is on the other side picking up those big blocks as they go by or we wouldn't have the stable price as they go by. Anyone think it could be a deal already for many of those shares and it is just the formal transaction taking place?

MSFT is giving up on it's $400.00 rebate for MSN internet access. That's 400 per subscriber. Now big IF 400*4.7mil=1,880,000,000.

The free internet access providers are going away and the remaining ones are starting to charge, good service is going to become important.

ELNK gets access to the cable systems. (who needs this?)

ELNK has a good subscriber base without having to give away huge rebates to build it.

Oh, and BTW according to the press releases as part of the amended alliance, Kansas City, Mo.-based Sprint will be able to retain a 27 percent stake in EarthLink. Besides check the filings. Sprint would be taking a beating on the stock selling at these prices. Somehow they must already have something in mind to have included this in the amendment.

One last thought: What would it be worth for Sun, Verizon, MSFT, AOL/TW or any other competitor to keep ELNK out of the other's hands?
