I just came to this comment of yours after posting the following on the GWB thread. If you follow it back to the meditation posted by shalom, you can see the origin of the idea one senses so frequently on SI that it doesn't matter whether children are born to starvation and disease and cruelty and unimaginable suffering. What matters is that sex lead to babies. What happens after that....Well, ... all our peace in this miserable life is found in humbly enduring suffering rather than in being free from it. He who knows best how to suffer will enjoy the greater peace, because he is the conqueror of himself, the master of the world, a friend of Christ, and an heir of heaven. Message 15342258
