BuyLow SellHi, you're forgetting a major point: the OEMs (and retail stores for that matter) will NOT
push these <$1000 computers at the expense of their high-end,
high-margin products. The reason is simple: they make more
on the high-end pdts. We'll see the Big OEMs start to downplay
this segment soon, especially if it eats into their other
business. Compaq, I believe, is already doing this by limiting
production of their Cyrix-based systems. Right now, mkt. is
big enough so noone gets hurt.
