TA, Agree 100% with you. I also recall some analysts on CNBC telling investors to buy after Labor Day 2000. The comment was made in late July.
Of course, i decided to load up in late July. August was a great month on the markets and Sept was a disaster. My problem is that I did not bail out of a lot of positions.

If they are now saying buy later...it means buy now, IMHO.
It is mostly the sell side analysts making comments but their own internal people at the brokerage are probably loading up...same goes for the mutual funds.

Funds know now is the time to buy; by the time we see convincing evidence of a turnaround, the stocks will be far higher and they will sell to the late buyers. Investors are probably reacting to hints of recovery for buy signals and real hard evidence.
The MU comments along with many other companies that are comfortable with earnings, is the hint the buyers are getting.

Now, the stocks have HUGE short interests too!!
