Interactive Telesis(TM) Inc. (OTCBB:TSIS), a provider of interactive voice response (IVR) and speech-enabled hosting services, and Nuance (Nasdaq:NUAN), a leader in voice interface software, today announced the availability of a voice-enabled version of InvestorREACH, Interactive Telesis' shareholder communication service.
Yahoo! Inc. (Nasdaq:YHOO) is the first to beta test this system, allowing shareholders to access Yahoo! investor information from any phone using voice commands such as "Send me an investor package" or "What is the current stock price?"
During the beta test, the voice-enabled version of InvestorREACH is an option within the standard touch-tone InvestorREACH menu. Callers who select this option can request information on Yahoo! using only their voice. Nuance's award-winning speech recognition software interprets the spoken commands, enabling InvestorREACH to deliver the requested information to the caller quickly and accurately.
According to Donald E. Cameron, CEO of Interactive Telesis, the new speech recognition capabilities mark a significant technological advancement for InvestorREACH.
