I actually was on the Howdy Doody show, when I turned 5. They brought it to Washington, and my parents got me into the peanut gallery. I was pretty overwhelmed. The ABC affiliate had studios in a shopping center on upper Connecticut Avenue, and my dad drove me up for the taping, I imagine. There were Buffalo Bob, and Clarabelle, and Howdy. My dad was taken to a waiting area, where they were showing Amos and Andy reruns. It was so strange to see Crusader Rabbit on the monitors........
