ICE, companies routinely do not comment to rumors. Like it or not,
that seems to be the accepted response. It must be something that has evolved from experience.
If someone is intent to float a rumor, he would just float a new one after the old one has been debunked.

I think Iomega is acting correctly.

If an otherwise trustworthy person repeats a rumor, it's still just a rumor. He has not made the rumor more credible by repeating it.
Now look at the effect this rumor has had on this thread. I count
about 80 posts since early afternoon. Have not looked at all of them, but most are about the rumor. Talk about effective! Talk about FUD.
And none of the posts I've seen so far has added one iota of fact.
