Please understand. I want to. Look we share a goal. Understanding. I'm not being deliberately argumentative, but the rat comment seemed so flip, and well, frankly, rude. I am sorry if I misread you. I have been sincerely trying to understand the other position. As a victim of a violent rape, I have been struggling with joe's warped "suffer for joy" theory. All that is irrelevant to the discussion at hand, I am trying to express my sincerity and investment in understanding the opposition's viewpoint and motivations on this issue. Correct me if I'm wrong: My understanding is that at one point you felt all abortion was permissible at the discretion of the mother, then you you felt that viability was at issue, and now you are undecided about when and whether.. is that a fair way to represent your evolution? My confusion lies in as to whether you: are resolved that abortion should be allowed up to presence of brain waves, but feel that after that (probably/maybe?) not. or are unresolved whether it should be allowed at all even before presence of brain waves, but definitely not after. joelle
