Heinz,

Out of curiousity....

Has anyone done a detailed correlation of today and 1929 or Japan 1989? I'm referring specifically to economic deterioration and where the various markets were at at different points of time. For example, I saw over the weekend that only 5% of leading economists believe we are [not possibly, but are] headed for a recession. Where was Japan or US in '29 markets at this point of time? When did these markets really start to give? Was it before/during/after it became evident that they were headed for TL & EV? Keep in mind, it's been evident to many on this thread things have been headed for the crapper for sometime, but this is by no means the consensus, as the number I threw out that only 5% of economists believe we are headed for a recession [they didn't even bring up depression].

This may have already been discussed at length on the thread, but I no longer have time to catch all 500 posts a day. I maybe only get 25-50% of the posts.

I'm wondering when I get to party like it's 1929.

thanks,

chic
