Calpine has their special announcement on audio playback. You can get to it by clicking on an icon at the bottom of their corporate web page www.calpine.com I believe. They talk about the California fixed price deal, the acquisition of Encal - the Canadian P&E company, the shelf registration that raised a lot of money, and their 5 year expansion plan. The 5 year plan caused me to go long big time. It's a compounded rate of growth of around 64%. It looks like these guys and gals have the knowledge and resources to pull this off with little downside risk. Do your own due diligence however so I recommend you listen to the special announcement dated last friday.
