Ahhhh.. Now I see the flaw in their logic:

As far as the fab people in Oregon, New Mexico, and Ireland are concerned (where the new 300mm fabs will be), the 0.13-micron process and 300mm are the same. Unfortunately, 300mm wafer development will take another 9-12 months-so Intel may have the equipment, but not the raw materials to go into volume production on 300mm.
This assumption that 0.13u and 300mm "are the same" is incorrect. 0.13u and 300mm are completely different projects. 0.13u will not be started up on 300mm, it will be started up on 200mm. Also, their assumptions of the locations of the start of the 0.13u process is only "1 for 3".
And I'm sure that having Joe Roby the CEO of Donaldson, Lufkin Jarret (which merged with CFSB) on AMD's Board Of Directors, and having Jerry Sanders sit on DLJ's Board Of Directors has NO influence on any of this at all:

DONALDSON, LUFKIN & JENRETTE, INC. BOARD OF DIRECTORS

But, I'm sure that CFSB is COMPLETELY unbiased...... NOT
