08:32 AM ECONOMY TALK: Retail sales rose 0.7% in January, higher than the 0.5% increase the market was expecting. December sales were unrevised at +0.1%. Excluding autos, sales were up 0.8%, also stronger than the 0.4% rise the market was expecting. Durable goods sales rose 0.8%, building materials were up 1.1% and furniture sales rose 1.5%.
