Calandar year 2000 and 2001 would be heavy INVESTMENT years in order to lay the groundwork for future market domination

That's what the Japanese consumer electronics companyies said about ten years and some 27,000 Nikkei points ago. If PALM can't generate great margins now, it will never generate great margins because the market they are in will only get more competitive.
