Hi Steve.

For the newcomer, this is a new thread for Ecotyre Techologies, a company with a good "concept" of a product in terms of its ability to compete in the market place, and in the contribution it can make to removing the environmental "eyesore" of thousands and thousands of piles of old tires littering the landscape of the country.

Yes, Ecotyre has developed a process to take old tire casings and
remold liquified old high quality tires into a recyled tire tread and sidewall.

This process should not be confused with the old concept of manufacturing "Retreads" which was developed during WW II. From personal experience, I can tell you that the dependendability of the old retread process was not great, especially at higher speeds. The
retreads were not "molded" onto the tire casing as is the Ecotyre product.

Ecotyre in the past two years switched from a distributor of retread tires and other products to a manufacturer of the recycled "remolded" tires, borrowing from European technology. Ecotyre's product has been demonstrated to have performance qualities comparable to brand name
new tires. Guarantees are comparable, but price is lower because of the obvious economies of the raw material.

Ecotyre is making excellent progress in ramping up production and is in
the process of building new manufacuring plants, one or more of which should come online in June-July. The company is also developing high performance light truck tires.

New readers should look for the folder labelled ETTIC here on SI for some recent posts before the company did a 7 for 1 reverse stock split.

This effectively lowers the float to less than 1 million shares and keeps the company elgible to maintain its present small-cap listing based on its stock price.

As this new thread is developed, I hope others will add entries such as the company's website address and links to other news. If one obtains stock quotes through the Yahoo search engine, you will be able to find a rather thorough listing of News Releases, which can be reached with a click, following the quote.

I hope that some one will also "find" the "original" ETTI folder and repost some of the most substantive messages on it. Likewise those
who have recently posted on ETTI(followed by no company name) are asked to transfer messages here.

As of June 2, when the split took place, the company's symbol is ETTCD.
