Dont' agree, Fred.

INTC produces its market by a 2 year cycle of obsolescence. The reason for this obsolescence is new, better product, and there's no way to get this product without heavy R&D.

It's almost as if INTC has to start from scratch with every new product.

Not quibbling with the value of INTC's efforts nor its products.But this is what typifies the semi industry.

Compare the "expand-extend" alternative that MSFT enjoys. Totally different challenges, totally different P/E.
