I'm running a Celeron 433(insert laugh here) w/ Win98 and 128MB of DRAM, and about every 8-10 minutes the entire system freezes up for about 5 seconds. Really frustrating.

I have already tried shutting everything down running in the background. The problem still persists. Additionally, I have tried Ending Tasks of everything running after doing a Scandisk and a Defrag. This problem still persists. The next logical thing to do is to spend some time in Safe Mode to see if the problem occurs there. But I am hoping that someone here has heard of this and can help me out.

FWIW, I have updated most all of the drivers and have installed all of the MSFT Critical Updates.

TIA

Brian
