Steve, sorry I have been so long in responding to your post but I have been doing some research on "idiots" to see who might fit that description. After lengthy study I don't think there is but one person on this thread that matches. We will touch on that later but first let me give you the definition I found:

"id·i·ot (d-t)
n.

1) A person of profound mental retardation having a mental age below three years and generally being unable to learn connected speech or guard against common dangers."

and

"idiot \Id"i*ot\, n. [F. idiot, L. idiota an uneducated, ignorant, ill-informed person, Gr. ?, also and orig., a private person, not holding public office, fr. ? proper, peculiar. See Idiom.] 1. A man in private station, as distinguished from one holding a public office. [Obs.]

2. An unlearned, ignorant, or simple person, as distinguished from the educated; an ignoramus. [Obs.]

3. A human being destitute of the ordinary intellectual powers, whether congenital, developmental, or accidental; commonly, a person without understanding from birth; a natural fool;

4. A fool; a simpleton;

After studying the people on this thread I only found one person who fits that description and we both know who that is don't we STEVE?

Personally, I think 3 and 4 are very descriptive. Especially "person without understanding from birth(was it congenital, developmental, or accidental?); a natural fool". :-)

Next week we will visit the thesaurus. I found some really interesting stuff there that I am sure will help you.

Monty
