I was wondering why this Japanese fishing vessel was 9 miles off Hawaii. Was it engaging in fishing activity in US waters? The US claims a 200 mile limit. For reasons you don't know, I'm very concerned about overfishing of the worlds oceans. Also any inequity in the laws... Jim, In addition to what I said earlier, it was reported late today that there were civilians at some of the controls on the sub when the accident occurred. ted
