The ironic thing is that, while all this weather nails California, we're having a drought in the Pac. NW. Our rainfall and snowpack is running around HALF its usual.

This is something you probably won't hear until it's too late and the problems are well underway, but if we don't start getting more precip up here soon, California's going to have even bigger problems on its hands come summer. We're major suppliers of power to run CA's air conditioners when things heat up, and that power is predominantly hydro.

No snowpack = no water = no excess electricity.
