I would not be surprised if Paul Johnson, one of the authors of the Gorilla Game, is no straighter than many other analysts---advising the public to do one thing while doing the opposite thing himself. I'll bet Paul Johnson did not ltb&h Juniper after he "pumped it" to $244 per share----now at $78 per share.

While we are on this subject, can we permanently dismiss the untenable notion that anytime is a good time to buy a gorilla? It may take new Gorilla Gamers who bought in to this idea in year 2000 years to recover their lost capital. Stocks that are priced far in excess of their discounted future earnings (preferably free cash flows) eventually come back to earth. LTB&H is a great strategy if you buy at a discount to the present value of future cash flows. But overpaying for Gorillas and then long term holding looks like it will work out to be a terrible strategy for any investor who was unlucky enough to apply this strategy during the recent year 2000 bubble.

Personally, I don't believe that gorillas have "tended to be undervalued" the entire year I have been reading this thread. This may have been the case when the manual was first written, but now? In hindsight, do you know anyone who has underestimated the long term earnings potential of their gorilla in the last year?
