DJ Campbell Soup Earnings -4: Pepperidge Farms Sales Strong
Second quarter sales for Campbell's biscuits and confectionery segment rose 5% to $441 million, and were up 10% before the impact of currency. Sales for the unit were strong across the board. Pepperidge Farm reported strong sales and earnings driven by good performance in Goldfish and Giant Goldfish crackers and the introduction of new Spritzers cookies. The company's Godiva Chocolatier posted double-digit sales and earnings growth in all geographic regions and across all sales channels.
