well the fed put an end to all, but it was out of hand for too long. Look at the PE of CSCO still in the 80's insane still. Look at LU it's trading in the teens, might make it to single digits, amazing as that is, all of them could do a LU. Everything came to head all at once, both the PC sector and the cell phone sector matured. The Telco's rolling out wireless and wire land broadband were in weak condition as it is from intense competition. The nascent dot.com sector was ill conceived or too young to weather a storm. The consumer had shopped to they dropped. Rising rates only made it all obvious. What's more important is what will come out of it all as the market bottoms and starts up again, which it will, but it's going to take the better part of the first half of this decade to return to 5000.

I would love the hear from posters on this thread or elsewhere what their take is on what the new bull market will look like.
