First year starring Jackie Gleason.

By the by,(Must have seen the movie "The Hustler" (with Newman) 50 times. I was about 15 when myself and a couple buddies drove to Brooklyn and found the pool hall that the movie was shot in..."Ames Pool Hall"

Found out about it since I hung out in Steve Mizeraks pool hall in Perth Amboy,N.J. He used to tell stories about how the movie was made. He was a good friend of Pool legend Willie Mosconi (who did a cameo in the flick).Talked about what a good shot Gleason was,but Newman never held a cue stick before. Willie spent two weeks teaching him, and he could run a rack after that.
