tink,
The thing that keeps BRCD from being declared the Gorilla is that though they have a big share of the fc switching business, the fc standard is in constant change, searching for the key to interoperabiliy. Also the market is growing so rapidly that unless BRCD can continue to capture 90% of the new business, their share will diminish almost instantly.

Actually, I don't believe that a King nor a Gorilla have had time to emerge from this tornado. We have a year or so, as infiniband, GbE, and other innovations are sucked into the storage networking tornado before we can tell who will ultimately dominate, or if this is not a Gorilla or King game. It could be a commodity with a bunch of Princes in a year or so.
