Yes that method can be used to open as many new windows as one cares to.The only problem is that one has to resize(maximize) them after opening.I have contacted MSN support and they responded that is by design.Dumb idea.

Once maximized it stays that way but its a bit of a pain.My favorite app Macro Express comes to my rescue as all I have to do is tap Alt+X with one finger,(Sticky Keys enabled) on the keyboard and the window is maxed.
