Thanks for posting that. Do you have any thoughts about why the fishing vessel didn't show up on the sonar? I assume the engines were running (fishing vessel). Another question, can submarines use radar to detect surface vessels?

In the movies it looks like present day submarines are very capable of detecting surface vessels. Is this an exaggeration?
