Bought some G* notes today...the 11 3/8% 2004's...10K$ face value of bonds for 850$...a de minimus position so that I can be one of the three vaunted all-powerful bondholders capable of putting the company in bk when I don't receive the coupon due tomorrow.

If any of you want to stop me from taking this drastic action, PM me with your best offer to buy them back....minimum bids start at $.50 (just kidding!)

Found the experience of buying junk bonds a lot less automated than stock. First had to speak to someone at CSchwab, telling him how many of which note I was interested in....took a couple of hours for him to get an offer price...I then placed a limit order at that price which took another 2 1/2 hours (!) to fill. Then I got curious what the bid price for the notes were, but that would take another 2 hours, so I told him to forget it.
