The Zip is currently Iomega's Star product. In the next couple of
years it will become a cash cow as it becomes a standard replacement
for the floppy. As the Zip begins to cover its expenses and bring in
excessive funds, Iomega should begin to use the excessive funds from
the Zip to fund the Jaz as its next Star product. The Jaz has the
potential for replacing the hard drive as the standard storage device.
Software will continue to get larger and larger. Everytime my fixed hard
drive is filled up, I have to get a new larger drive, take my computer
apart, and install the new hard drive. What a pain in the ___!. With the
Jaz drive, I only need to get another cartridge. No installation needed!
I can keep my large programs on Jaz cartridges organized by program type.
I can have a jazz cartridge with investment programs, one for games, and
one for educational software. Why should I use a fixed drive and replace
it with a new larger fixed drive every couple of years?

Within one or two years, the Jaz will become Iomega's Star product. Anyone
else have the same feeling?
