Hi all,

I recently posted this to the Newbridge Networks thread:

It regards treatment of writedowns of purchased in-process technology
that we see often with tech companies making aquisitions. In summary,
I believe it is appropriate to disregard these occasional charges in order
to get a more realistic picture of how a company is doing.

I haven't heard anything from Buffett on this topic, likely due to his aversion
to tech companies. My opinion in the post above was an attempt to think
about it as he would - i.e. I extrapolated his ideas to new territory.

I would welcome comments...
