www.cme.com/fe50/ will have the same IP address as www.cme.com

Does that mean it is not possible to get to the www.cme.com/fe50/ page with a numeric entry in the browser address window? This morning when my ISP's DNS lookup was not working, I could not access any sub web pages, such as SI messages even though I could get to the SI home page with a numeric IP address. My guess is the link to subject marks or other .com/subpages still requires a DNS lookup, unless you can resolve it for the browser by entering the complete numeric address.
