Great posts, cosmic. First, I can't imagine what it feels like to sunburn the top of your head. Probably like sunburning your breasts for the first time; way uncomfortable. Doesn't it kill you to be spoken to as "sir"? I'm not particularly fond of "ma'am", but what's worse, IMO, is to be flirted with by a kid who's young enough to be my son. Creepy. May not be the same for middle aged men, though....
I, too, try to keep my mind on the degree to which circumstance and luck effect us all, every minute. Gratitude's an important thing to me, an elemental thing. It's recognition of all the forces, cosmic and otherwise <g> and how they bump up against each other, effect each other's orbits in interesting and profound ways. I'm not sure I'll ever really understand any of you who take the time each day to post here, but it makes me feel good to see each of you imprimaturs here regularly, hashing things out. It makes me feel grateful. |
