Neither him nor the company has a good handle on what will be hot. Gigernet is a killer app. I hear the company and others talking about the importance of software in the core. Meanwhile the name of the game is distributed Net because it's cheap, easy to integrate, and reliable. Specifically, I'm saying the SN8000 and the SN10000 will outsell the other lines. You don't need to be big in software at the core. The core will diminish in importance in coming years just like what happened and continues to happen to mainframe computers. The mesh topology writes the epitaph by distributing the core. ps. Similarly, there is no definable "edge". It's the locus of points of a field.
