I personally voted for John Ashcroft (once or twice in the '70s, when I lived in Missouri) MORE than I voted for Bill Clinton (zero). You'll notice that he didn't say he voted for Republicans. Just that he didn't vote for Clinton. Could mean lots of things. Maybe he couldn't vote -- felons can't in most states. Or maybe he voted communist? Just speculating, but maybe valid speculation?
