Hi richard surckla; You wrote: "That's great news... the VIA DDR II thing... but I haven't seen their DDR I chipset? How are they going to mass produce DDR II when they haven't mass produced DDR I?"

Do a search on pricewatch.com. I come up with eight hits, two motherboard designs from Microstar and one from Gigabyte.

For the Microstar board, ask for "PRO266 MASTER" or "PRO266 MASTER-R" depending on whether you want the RAID for $10 extra:

(2) PC Progress 888-727-7647
(2) Spartan Technologies 888-393-9900

For the Gigabyte board, choose one of the four available Pentium III speeds from the following company: Ask for the PRO266:

(4)United Micro, Inc 800-943-7255

Always glad to be of service. For future reference, here's the (currently six pages long) link for pricewatch DDR motherboards:
pricewatch.com

Here's the counts for the various DDR motherboards available on PriceWatch:

VIA Pro266 MircorStar 4
ALi KA266 Iwill 13
AMD 761 BioStar 2
AMD 761 Gigabyte 26
AMD 761 AsusTek 16
AMD 761 FIC 5

Of course some of the above are SKUs for slighltly different units from the same distributor (with DDR memory, for instance).
