Reverse splits are done to bring the stock price to a "respectable" level and attract a different kind of investor and analyst. No major brokerage house can recommend a stock under $10, most of the reverse splits I've seen have tried to get over that. A one for ten reverse split for Scriptel would only give us a $1 price. I really don't think they'll bother to do it for that. A reverse split is often interpreted (sometimes accurately) as a last-ditch effort. I don't think they'll risk that label without bringing the price up higher than $1. I still think this might take off when (if) profits are announced. I've seen stocks shoot up when companies finally report profits after years of losses. I don't know if they've scheduled a tentative date for this split, but they might wait until they report a profitable quarter and see what happens to the stock price and split from there. If they're on target, that will be April, 1998. In the long run, I don't think this split will make any difference to us one way or the other. Profits will.
In my opinion
