Amazon.com Heads Lower with Sell Rating

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Shares of Amazon.com Inc. (NasdaqNM:AMZN
- news) slipped in preopening trading on Thursday after Prudential Securities
cut the online retailer to a rare rating of sell.

Amazon.com was down at $13-5/8 from a Wednesday closing price of
$14-7/16. The stock is off a 12-month high of $76-3/16.

Prudential said it cut its rating on the money-losing Internet retailer to sell
from hold. It also trimmed its 12-month price target to $9 from $20.
