I hear you. You mentioned 3.5 months of your life. You know, I was looking at a report on the best performing mutual funds over the last 15 years and the very best just equalled the annual returns from the S&P 500 index at around 18.5%. I'm beginning to wonder whether it wouldn't be a whole lot smarter (once the bubble has deflated) to just invest my money in a couple of good mutual funds (including an index fund) and spend the time I spend on the stock market on something more meaningful. Like playing guitar, or writing poetry like Impristine <g>.

I'd probably come out further ahead, and get to dump a lot of useless crap I'm carrying around in my brain. (I probably need a de-frag too <g>.)

There's no question playing the stock market is gambling, pure and simple. Well I never buy lottery tickets, and I have never set foot in a casino, so why am I wasting time on the stock market casino?
