DMA ... I'm going to have to start calling you Chubby Checker if you keep "twisting" everything I write.

Olympia Snowe indeed represents the moderate wing of the Republican Party, which, unfortunately (and as you well know)has become dominated by the likes of Dan "Deadbeat" Burton, Tom "Bugs" DeLay and Jesse "19th Century" Helms, among others.

Sen. Snowe is being forced to centrist positions because Maine, like the rest of New England, is becoming "more Bostonian" in its politics and outlook on the issues in general.

I will give the GOP a fresh look when it starts addressing issues of concern to the common working man and common working woman, rather than reward fat-cat contributors through the use of high-end-weighted tax breaks.
