I used to watch Burns and Allen, Jack Benny, and You Bet Your Life in rerun. Having a day home sick from school was like a ride into the past. There was Gale Storm (where she played a cruise director), Ann Southern (Private Secretary and its sequel), Bob Cummings, Dobie Gillis, and, of course, I Love Lucy. Unfortunately, I have only seen clips from Your Show of Shows, Ernic Kovaks, or Uncle Miltie. But I did catch the Beatles on the Sullivan show! I remember Jackie Mason from Sullivan before he was banned, and The Supremes changing their image with cut offs and an urban set for the tv premiere of their song "Love Child". All of the top rock/soul acts did Sullivan, practically. Along with Topo Gigio......
